Gulf Weekly Brazilian brand puts best foot forward

A. Latif Group has officially opened its Piccadilly brand in Seef Mall and after attending the launch I was inspired to feature them alongside our fashion expert, Natasha Daniel.

Piccadilly, which was established in 1955, is a Brazilian family-owned ladies shoe producer boasting an annual production of nine million pairs of shoes with 30 per cent exported to over 90 countries worldwide.

It is one of the most favoured ladies shoes brand in Brazil and is recognised for producing the best in comfort, quality and style.

During the event, invited guests, officials and members of the press were treated to beverages and snacks while admiring the shoes on show.

Paulo Grings, Piccadilly’s president from Brazil, who was at the unveiling, said: “We are truly happy to be here and we thank A. Latif for believing in Piccadilly and for bringing the comfort of our shoes to Bahraini women.

“It was an honour and a privilege to visit this beautiful and welcoming country for the first time and to open our first store. Hopefully, there will be many more Piccadilly shops in partnership with A. Latif group to come in the future.”

According to Natasha, Brazil is one of the best places to get shoes from. I found her testing the shoes weight in her hand as she roamed around the store. “Comfort shoes should be light in fabric and weight and these are perfect”, she said.

We both fell in love with a pair of pink copper sandals reasonably priced at BD15. Needless to say we also both left the store with a pair and after wearing them this weekend I was completely satisfied with how comfy they were. These shoes get my deal of the week and Natasha’s fashion pick.
