Gulf Weekly Old favourite reopens

Much to my delight, Promod re-opened its doors in Bahrain Mall last Thursday after months of closure due to a fire last October.

This is my favourite place to shop because the location is quiet and very convenient. The sales staff are very friendly and know what customer service is all about.

One expat shopper started chatting to me in store and said: “I’m so glad they are re-opened. I love the style of the goods and the staff I find very accommodating. Yesterday I called in and asked for a size that was not on the rail and the next day the sales lady had it ready and waiting. I will always find something in store I like. When they say they will do something, they do it.”

Two exciting looks this Spring are the ‘California Girl’ or ‘Prairie Princess’ (if your Canadian) - fringed jackets, lace tops and western boots or the ‘Floral Punk’- softened up rock look with pretty floral prints.

Readers can also try a casual ‘tropical twist’ by pairing a bold orange shirt with sweat pants, bi-fabric fashion trainers and a tailored jacket.

Promod is known for high quality French fashion where you can buy items that will last you for ages. Make sure to look out for the essentials like tights, camis, scarfs, sleeveless tanks and basic tees.

For BD 5.900 you can purchase orange, black or turquoise cotton shirts for the hot weather and there is a whole wall of scarfs starting at BD9. There are sleeveless crewnecks for BD5.900 in plum, white, cobalt blue and oxblood red, which are perfect under a jacket for work.

Other deals I’m privy to: Bershka – Up to 90 per cent off, Pull & Bear – Up to 80 per cent off, Stradivarius – Final reductions, ZARA – Final days of winter sale.
