A new school will be opening in Abu Sayba, off Budaiya Road, under the management and administrative guidance of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, an educational trust in India.

The owners say Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is respected for the quality education it offers pupils and its cultural values. It was founded in 1936 by Dr K M Munshi, one of the leading members of India’s constituent assembly.

It has more than 400 schools in India, 10 international centres in the UK, US, Singapore, Australia, South Africa and Portugal, as well as schools in Kuwait, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and now Bahrain.

The Bahrain Indian School aims to promote the Indian educational system on the island as well as adhere to Bahraini culture.

It is set to start admission for the 2014-2015 academic year, for KG1 to Grade 4 classes. Fees will range from BD900 to BD1,000 per year.

The school will open and regular classes will commence on April 15. Parents can register online at www.bhavansbahrain.com from today.
