The Bahrain International Exhibition Centre in Sanabis will host GulfBID 2014 to celebrate the region’s construction sector today and tomorrow, 9am to 9pm.

Exhibitors will showcase their products in Hall 1 for the marquee show for construction and building materials in the Northern Gulf.

GulfBID 2014 provides a unique one-stop-shop for the construction, real estate and interior sectors, and with a 60 per cent increase in size over last year, the expo will cover more than 9,000sq/m of floor space.

The unique show allows visitors to buy a property, look at renovations and the possibilities of interior décor all in one venue.

Simply Spice Girlz, a tribute to the UK 90’s pop group the Spice Girls, will be performing tonight at Warblers, Ramee Baisin International Hotel, Hoora and tomorrow night at Dublin, Ramee Palace Hotel, Juffair at 10pm. The Royal Golf Club’s new ‘All You Can Eat Buffet’ will be held every Saturday lunch time in Prego! Italian Restaurant. The British Club will stage its annual Birdman of Bahrain competition on May 16. Budding aviators will attempt to fly the length of the British Club Pool once again. The children’s competition will start at 2pm, followed by the adult contest. Proceeds will go to local charities and the Revival Band will perform once the competition is concluded.

The Amwaj Marina Obstacle Challenge charity event will be held on May 30 at Amwaj Marina.
Participants will carry a 20kg weight over 70m in a 1m depth in the sea, crawl through mud, climb up and down inclined walls 5m’s high and through uneven terrain making up the 4km grueling obstacle course.
