The entropy of the universe always increases

I think I have found enlightenment in the calculating heart of my Physics textbook. Either that, or the IB has finally driven me insane.

The school year has almost come to a close, and with that, a great deal of uncertainty for the graduating class.
While I still have another year at school, some of my best friends will be leaving the island and embarking into the great unknown. One thing is for certain: things will be changing. Soon.
In the midst of panicking about this fact, my physics textbook proffered a surprisingly profound statement … the total entropy of the universe always increases.
For the unenlightened (just as I was a couple of minutes ago) entropy is the state of disorder of a system. This fact, once you come to terms with it, is extremely comforting.
Everything will change; our worlds will forever spiral in continual randomness because that is the immutable law of the universe.
There’s no point in worrying about the uncertainty up ahead, as that’s how life will always be. So, embrace it, because that is the inherent beauty of our world: entropy.
