Gulf Weekly Berge and Sandstrom win second match of series

Nils Berge and Anders Sandstrom won first place in the second match of the new BMMI Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club with a nett score of 32.5, putting them in second place in the overall order of merit.

Club Captain Stephen Wagstaff and playing partner David Wales took second place in the ‘required 3x3 rumble’ competition with a score of 33.4 giving the duo top spot on the leader board having gained points last week when they placed fourth. Husband and wife Peter and Sara Thompson came a close third with 33.6 nett.

Tony Bridgens won a prize for coming closest to the pin on the 12th hole for the second consecutive week and Sanne Smith was closest on hole 16.

Over 30 golfers took part.

The series takes place every Monday evening. The 9 hole competitions are open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night and tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start.
