Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the latest instalment of one of the world’s most popular gaming franchises, has a special treat for gaming fans in the Middle East. For the first time ever, the game will feature Arabic subtitles to provide a localised experience of the game.
With Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare featuring Arabic subtitles, Arabic gamers can fully experience the compelling campaign narrative penned by the storytellers at Sledgehammer Games, along with the immersive next generation gameplay experience, the company says.
“We are delighted to work with Activision and Sledgehammer Games to bring to gamers in the MENA region a localised version of Call of Duty. Arab gamers are some of the most discerning and enthusiastic gamers in the world and we are pleased and proud to launch the next version of this iconic franchise in the Arabic language,” said Michael Wombwell, CEO, Red Entertainment Distribution.
The game is a first-person military science fiction developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is the eleventh primary instalment in the Call of Duty series and the first developed primarily by Sledgehammer Games.
Gamers in the kingdom are already geared up for the game’s release, especially Bahraini Hakam Karim, who has established himself as the ‘king of gaming’ by reaching the pinnacle of all online leader-boards.
He said: “I’m looking forward to the game and I think the Arabic subtitles will be a good thing as some Arabs don’t speak English well, so it will be beneficial for them.
“It can make gameplay easier and open up the franchise to more people in the Arab world.
“However, when I play games I prefer English as Arabic can be more complicated to read, especially if it’s in the menu.”
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be available on November 4 on both current and next gen consoles and PC.
