A few years ago, nobody knew what quinoa was. Today, it has become well-known and can be seen on restaurant menus and in many households.

How did it spread so fast? Because it’s one of the greatest superfoods.

Do you know enough information about quinoa to make you want to try it?

It is sold as a grain (like rice) but it is technically a seed and is an ideal source of plant-based protein which makes it a great alternative for many animal-based dishes.

Quinoa is naturally gluten-free. Gluten is the protein that causes health problems in many people and is commonly found in grains such as wheat
It is a great source of fibre, in addition to some minerals such as magnesium and iron.

But now that you know about its benefits, how do you eat it and how do you cook it?

Quinoa cooks like rice and you can eat it in many different forms. You can cook it and add it to salads or tabbouleh. You can eat it like any other rice dish; with curry for example. Or you can make it into a porridge and have it for breakfast with almond milk, bananas and dates with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Isn’t your health worth it? Try it and see the difference.
