Khaleeji pop sensation at mall

Emirati songstress Balqees Ahmed Fathi, right, will be performing at the central galleria tomorrow at 10pm for her growing legion of fans from across the region.
 
Having been named the ‘best young talent’ at the L’Officiel Arab Woman Awards in 2012, Balqees is a Khaleeji pop sensation known for her ability to sing in various dialects.
 
She is a multi-talented musician who was raised within a musical family and is the daughter of Yemen’s most famous composer and singer, Fathi Ahmed.

Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, senior mall manager for City Centre Bahrain, said: “We would like to demonstrate that Bahrain is capable of being the fashion hub of the GCC. This will be the biggest fashion event of the season, highlighted by singing sensation and guest of honour Balqees Ahmed Fathi.”
