Together with the Bahrain Arts Society, City Centre Bahrain is unveiling the final 10 C-shaped artworks of its Art of C campaign at the mall’s Central Galleria. Each piece tells a story of Bahrain’s heritage and culture as the nation looks ahead to its 43rd National Day celebrations. The Birmingham Stage Company is bringing its Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain live stage show to the Cultural Hall for a series of performances from November 29-December 2. The dates and timings are as follows:
November 29 – 4.30pm
November 30 – 9am and 11.15am
December 1 – 9am and 11.15am
December 2 – 10am

The Indian Ladies Association is performing Indian film star and theatre actor Paresh Rawal’s ‘Dear Father’ play on November 29 at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain’s Conference Centre. The event will start at 8pm.

The Manama Theatre Club is hosting a production of Aladdin at the British Club, Um Al Hassam, on December 3 (7pm), 4 (1.30pm and 5.30pm) and 6 (2.30pm). Tickets cost BD6 for members and BD8 for non-members and are available at the club reception and the Great Deli Café, Najibi Centre, Saar.

Delmon Boarding Kennels is bringing professional dog trainer and behaviourist Steve Mann to Bahrain on December 6 for an evening event at the Dilmun Club, Saar, from 7.30pm. The kennels are also bringing Nando Brown from the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers for a ‘Trick Training’ session on December 5 at 2pm to be held at the Delmon Boarding Kennels, Barbar. Tickets cost BD10 for adults and BD5 for children.

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal will be performing at Bahrain’s first Jam Up gig at Ibrida, Ramee Grand Hotel & Spa, Seef on December 5 from 10pm-2am. The event will also feature Bahrain’s Ala Ghawas & Likwid, as well as hard rock band Point of View from Dubai.

Batelco is launching its second photographic competition, entitled Bahrain Eye. It features six categories and is open to everyone who is interested in photography. Participants can compete with up to two photos in any or all of the following categories: Places in Bahrain, People in Bahrain, Nature and wildlife in Bahrain, Communication, Underwater photography and My country.

Photos can be colour or black & white with a minimum resolution of 2,500 pixels and participants may submit up to two photos in each category.
