Qatar Wanderers emerged winners of the Indian Club Centenary Lulu International Exchange 6-A-Side Hockey Tournament defeating Saudi B 2-0 at the club premises in Manama.
The goals were scored by Rohit and Savio.
Eight other teams participated in the weekend tournament namely, Don Bosco Kuwait A & B, Kuwait Hockey A & B, Saudi A, Malik Hockey Team Bahrain, Gujra Hockey Team Bahrain and Welmed Hockey Team Bahrain.
The chief guests of the tournament was former Indian national player and coach Joaquim Carvalho and his wife Vandana Rao, a former Indian athlete who took part in the 1984 and 1988 Olympics. The country manager of Lulu International Exchange, the main sponsor of the tournament, Sudhesh Kumar, was also present.
Indiviual award winners were:
Best goalkeeper: Kani (Kuwait Hockey A)
Player of the tournament: Ali (Saudi B)
Player of the final: Rohit (Qatar Wanderers)
