Todd Gillespie fought off tough competition to win this year’s Euro Motors BMW Medal Series Grand Final at the Royal Golf Club with a score of 72.
Ashley Price won the second division of the competition with a nett score of 73 and Karin Lutz won the ladies category with the same nett score of 73.
All three will go on to represent Bahrain in the BMW Golf Cup International World Final which will take place at New South Wales Golf Club in Sydney, Australia, from March 2-7 next year.
A total of 40 competitors took part in the final round played on the Royal Golf Club’s Montgomerie championship course, having won their respective categories in the preceding 11 qualifying rounds.
“Congratulations to Todd, Ashley and Karin,” said Sohail Singh, the Royal Golf Club’s tournament co-ordinator. “It’s been a great series and on behalf of the Royal Golf Club and our members, I would like to thank everyone involved at Euro Motors BMW for supporting this very popular series.”

Gents – Category 1 (0-12): 1 Todd Gillespie (72), 2 Simon Brebner (75), 3 David Wales (78). Category 2 (13-28): 1 Ashley Price (73 nett), 2 Kwang Seok Kim (76), 3 Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa (77). Ladies Category (0-28): 1 Karin Lutz (73 nett), 2 Hilde Kwik (80), 3 Dena Wales (82).
