Christmas came early this year for Sara Thompson, Caroline T’Kint, Stella Bullock and Araceli Deakin when they won the Royal Golf Club’s ladies section annual Christmas Golf Tournament.
The team achieved a nett score of 68.1, pushing the team of Debbie Lane, Robin Bugeya, Hilde Kwik and Jeong Kwak into second place with a team score of 69 nett.
The ladies started off their festive activities with a Texas Scramble tournament featuring fun side contests – nearest Santa’s drive on hole 10 and a ‘land on the green’ raffle on hole 7, both of which were won by Lane.
A prize giving ceremony and traditional Christmas lunch was held in the Repartee Lounge with carol singing. Lady Captain Dena Wales thanked sponsors NHSC and Awal Sports International as well as Sheldon Cameron, the golf operations manager, for putting on such a great day for the ladies.
