The Bahrain International Circuit has announced four concession rates for fans wishing to attend the 2007 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on April 13-15.
A 10 per cent discount is offered both to students and to older persons (55+ years for women and 60+ years for men). Additionally a 25 per cent discount is being offered to people with registered disabilities.
Finally all children under 15 years receive a 50 per cent discount on the adult ticket price.
“The Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix is a family occasion and an event that unites the kingdom,” said Talal Al Zain, chairman of the BIC.
“We are always keen to make the Grand Prix and every other public event at the circuit as accessible and enjoyable for every member of the public that we can.”
Every one of the grandstand seats at the Bahrain International Circuit will be eligible under the concession scheme.
Lifts providing access for people with special needs, such as wheelchair users and their companions, are fitted to both the Main Grandstand and the Oasis Complex.
“It is extremely important that the BIC is accessible to all, and we are paying particular attention to people with special needs in 2007,” Mr Al Zain added.
“This new initiative for 2007 is to ensure that the entire community can come, and feels welcome, at the Gulf’s number one sporting and social occasion of the year.”
