As part of a long-term strategy to support Bahrain’s global vision to be the Middle East racing hub, Gulf Finance House (GFH) and Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) announced a joint sponsorship for racing ace, Hamad Al Fardan.
Hamad will be representing ‘Team GFH’ at the European F3 Racing Series in the United Kingdom until September.
The announcement was made in the presence of Peter Panayiotou, deputy CEO of GFH, Ebrahim H Ebrahim, general manager of KHCB, Hamad Al Fardan, Martin Whitaker, chief executive officer of Bahrain International Circuit and representatives from GFH and KHCB senior management.
Mr Panayiotou said: “Team GFH has now established itself as a winning brand and Hamad Al Fardan is perceived as a champion race driver with the potential of reaching the F1.
“We are confident that our initiative will significantly boost his participation and assist him in emerging as a winner, once again making the nation proud.”
Mr Ebrahim added: “Hamad has already created a niche for himself on the international circuit and has made the country proud. As a role model for the youth in the kingdom and across the region, Hamad has set a shining example for young contenders.”
The European F3 Racing Series is the most high-profile racing series and is a key motorsport event perceived as the stepping stone for drivers into the F1 league.
It attracts young drivers from all over the world to race and compete against the finest young racing drivers of this generation.
European Formula 3 has produced the most number of Grand Prix winners and World Champions in the world.
