Bahrain’s first gourmet delicatessen has opened its doors in Seef Mall’s new West Wing extension.
Della Terra, meaning from the earth, was born from a desire to cook, eat and share high-quality, authentic Italian food at home with family and friends.
The company believes in ‘truthful’ food – true to the taste of the ingredients used to make it – without additives, colourings and artificial preservatives. In short, food enjoyed by Italians in Italy every day.
Made to traditional and often safely-guarded family recipes, Della Terra’s artisanal partners continue to maintain the integrity of Italy’s rich culinary heritage by respecting above all else seasonality, flavour and quality in the foods they produce. Adopting the same philosophy has resulted in a unique shop that provides its customers with superior store cupboard essentials together with award-winning products.
Della Terra has managed to select the best ambassadors from some of Italy’s regions – including pasta, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, cheese, sauces and antipasti – and bring them to Bahrain.

The shop’s unique design, based on an old Tuscan kitchen, was created in Milan and an artisan carpenter (also based in Italy) was commissioned to make all of the panelling, units and shelving from solid pine wood.
He skillfully cut, crafted and painted the entire shop by hand then it was flown to Bahrain to be fitted by an Italian technician.
