ONE of Bahrain's tastiest companies is launching a blitz on taste-buds this summer in a bid to win over the hearts of old and new ice cream and ice lolly lovers, reports Anasuya Kesavan.
Bahrain's Awal Dairy is celebrating its 40th anniversary of producing ice creams and will be introducing nine new mouth-watering flavours to the market.
It hopes to woo expats away from their familiar brands and convince them that these new yummy delights can lick the opposition.
In a bid to put the tantalising treats to the test, the company invited a select group of young GulfWeekly readers to taste the new Awal Orange & Mango Ice Lolly 'Stick Bar' and some of the regular favourites.
The remaining new flavours, which have been kept under wraps for the summer to arrive, will be available in the next few days.
