KARTING enthusiast Louis Skalski’s boyhood dreams have become a reality as the 16-year-old completed his mission of getting every Formula One driver’s signature over the race weekend. The Multinational School Bahrain student has a cap full of signatures from race greats including Sebastian Vettel, Felipe Massa and Nico Rosberg. The only man he was missing was Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix champion Lewis Hamilton. After waiting in the paddock at the Bahrain International Circuit for Hamilton to appear, he finally got it!
Thrilled with his accomplishment, Louis told the Whisperer he can now go off to university in the UK with his mind on his studies rather than on seeking out the hero of Sakhir.
Hamilton made a mighty impression on fans in Bahrain, with one in particular requesting him to sing on stage during the Formula One Fan Forum. The Mercedes driver said that if he wasn’t racing, he might have joined a band. As onlookers waited for him to serenade the crowd, Hamilton who is as quick on his feet as he is on the track, swiftly changed the subject.
