Chia porridge

I’m sure you’ve heard of chia seeds by now. These seeds, native to Central America, have become very popular these days and their health benefits are discussed everywhere. 

Chia seeds contain the omega oils that we’re all after. These good fats feed our brain and help us get rid of unwanted fat as well.

Have you tried them yet?

If not, try this: soak a quarter cup of chia seeds in a full cup of home-made almond milk.  Add a couple of tablespoons of desiccated coconut and cinnamon powder. Stir well and let the mixture soak in the fridge overnight.

The next morning you’ll have a ready porridge that is both filling and nutritious, not to mention delicious. Serve cold with a sprinkle of raw cacao nibs or slices of fresh fruits or berries.
