Dear Stan, It's great to hear Crowne Plaza management team once again trading places and trying out a day in the life of their employees. The employees I'm sure really appreciate the management team showing that they are willing to go back to the floor as such.
I heard that James Hewitson, the EAM, spent the day this time as a gardener (he was a staff driver last time), which is great, especially as spending the day outside in the heat tending to the hotel gardens and trimming the trees, is not the easiest of jobs.
I noticed that last time, one of your readers contacted James regarding hiring his services for the day as driver to drive them round the island, so I was wondering if he would be able to come and spend the day helping me in my garden. I've just moved into my villa and the garden has not been looked after for several years.
There are a lot of overgrown bushes and weeds. I don't have a gardener and I am struggling to keep all the plants watered in the heat. So if James could come along and help me one day it would be much appreciated - especially as I know James loves to help the local community. He would make an old lady very happy!
