Al Zayani Investments has signed up a three-year partnership deal with Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) for an undisclosed sum.
Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, the BIC's acting CEO, and Nawaf Khalid Al Zayani, managing director of Al Zayani Investments, finalised the partnership at a press conference at Sakhir on Sunday.
The circuit's Oasis Complex will now feature a specially allocated Al Zayani Investments lounge, which the organisation can use throughout the year for corporate and personal functions.
This deal will also include ticket packages for Al Zayani Investments for all international and regional events held at the circuit which will now showcase the company's branding at various locations on the circuit that is seen by millions of TV viewers worldwide.
Shaikh Salman said the partnership would provide social and economic benefits to the local automotive industry as BIC and Al Zayani Investments are both influential organisations in this sector.
Mr Al Zayani added: "By supporting Bahrain International Circuit we achieve a goal of enhancing motorsport in the kingdom through this venue. We look forward to an active partnership which will support the kingdom's development strategy."
The collaboration comes at a time when BIC is preparing to host the Gulf Air Desert 400 on February 27-29, followed by the 2010 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on March 12-14.
Al Zayani Investments Group was established in 1977 and is involved in diverse industries from automobiles to healthcare manufacturing, real estate and services.
