Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has confirmed a strong performance in the Middle East in 2009. Worldwide every fifth Rolls-Royce is sold in the Middle East with its eight dealerships in six countries.
Four Middle East dealers are amongst the global top ten dealerships. The UAE and Saudi Arabia are globally amongst the five largest markets.
"We are very pleased to see the continued success of Rolls-Royce in the region, particularly in view of the challenging economic environment," said Peter Schoppmann, regional director Middle East of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
Zayed R Al Zayani, managing director of Euro Motors, the sole Rolls-Royce dealer in Bahrain, said: "The 2009 result promises an encouraging business future for us in the kingdom, as we were able to improve on our 2008 results. Our investment in a new showroom this year will further enhance the experience for our customers."
Demand for all Phantom models continued on a high level, the four door versions (Phantom and Phantom Extended Wheelbase) still stand for the lions share. At the end of December the car manufacturer was able to hand over the first Ghosts - the new addition to the model range - to customers in the region.
