The second Bahrain qualifying competition of the Volvo World Golf Challenge 2015, being hosted at the Royal Golf Club, was narrowly won on countback by Ahmed Mohamed with a score of 39 points.

Peter Mutti took the runners-up spot with the same score while Keith Watson took third place on countback with 37 points.

Nearest the pin side contests on holes 2 and 12 were won by Robert Timmers and David Endall respectively, while a Longest Drive contest on hole 13 was won by Alex Hurter.

A prize-giving ceremony was held in the Members’ Lounge where Trevor Fletcher, sales manager-Motorcity passenger car division, handed over the trophies.

Kanoo Vehicle Leasing (KVL) and AXA Insurance have continued their association with Volvo World Golf Challenge once again this year. As an incentive for the competitors, anyone achieving a hole in one would win a Volvo S80, courtesy of KVL and AXA Insurance. For the second qualifier, the prize went unclaimed.

The 2015 Bahrain Volvo World Golf Challenge consists of three qualification rounds. The qualified players will then compete in a final round at the Royal Golf Club in November. The winners of the finals will receive a complementary invitation to fly off to the World Final, an unforgettable golfing occasion which is held each year in an exotic location.
