Wednesday (September 23)

The Walt Disney fairytale musical Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be staged at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre until Sunday.

Organised by Alghad Production, two shows will take place each day at 10am and 7pm, with a running time of two hours. More than 3,000 seats are available, offering a range of tickets priced from BD3 to BD40.

The Bahrain National Museum is holding an interactive exhibition using stories from the famous collection of fables, Kalila wa Dimna, bringing to life the characters, their relationships and lessons learned. The event will run until September 30.

The SLC VIVA Super Max 8s 2015 cricket tournament will be held at the Cricket Bahrain Association in Hunainiya Valley in Riffa.

Organised by the Sri Lankan Club, the eight-a-side competition will start from 7am and will feature 24 teams. Teams can enter for BD75. In addition to trophies, the winners will be awarded a $1,250 prize and the runners-up will take home $750.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR), an annual motorcycle fundraising event to raise awareness for prostate cancer, will take place in Bahrain today. The event is being supported by the International Hospital of Bahrain, and will feature men dressed in smart suits riding classic-styled motorbikes.

A star-studded line-up of Indian singing stars are set to wow fans in Bahrain with a new variety show based around the renowned Kairali TV ‘Patturumal’ reality show.

The ‘Khalbile Paattukal Patturumal Show will hit the stage at The Indian School in Isa Town from 8pm. The show will provide a fusion of music and dance that rekindles ‘Mappilapaatu’, the traditional song form of Kerala, through performers including Shamna, OU Basheer, MA Gaffoor, Sajila Salim, Benzera and Sheeja.Tickets are BD25, BD5 and BD3 and are available at Lulu International Exchange outlets, Al Osra restaurants, Calicut Live restaurant, Bangkok International restaurant and Sangeetha restaurant, or from The Indian School from 5pm.

Monday (September 28)

The Gulf Hotel will host the fifth Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) from 7pm-10.30pm. The awards committee has confirmed winners in more than 30 categories, in addition to two Global Islamic Finance Leadership Awards which will be handed out on the night.

Tuesday (September 29)

The Vocalist Season 2 competition runs until October 13 at Crowne Plaza Bahrain’s Harvester outlet. Singers are urged to enter and the grand final will take place on October 20.
