Hitting into the wind

Recently, in Bahrain, we have experienced quite a few windy days and the ability to keep the ball low in windy conditions is essential.

Here are some tips in order to keep your ball low and under control in these tricky conditions:
l Keep the same stance and ball position as always (not closer to the back foot).
l Use 1 to 2 extra clubs than in normal conditions.
l Maintain a relaxed swing. Remember swing it easy when it’s breezy!
l Hitting the ball ‘softer’ imparts less spin, so the wind cannot affect it as much during its flight.
