Winners rewarded

The winners of the 2015 DHL Order of Merit Series, played over nine qualifying rounds and a match play stage at the Royal Golf Club last year, were presented with their prizes at a recent members’ social evening.

Teacher Ronan Armstrong won first place in the men’s gross division having successfully fought off a challenge by Todd Gillespie in the finals last November. Philip Dixon won the gents nett category leaving Y.G. Kim as runner-up.

In the ladies divisions, Dena Wales won the gross section and Samantha Hill clinched first place in the nett category while promising youngster Taimur Malik won the junior division.

The prizes were presented by DHL’s regional commercial manager, Andy Love.

A new Order of Merit Series is underway at the club. Members wishing to sign up for the next round, taking place on February 26, should email golfevents@theroyalgolfclub.com
