Bahrain national team player Hamad Mubarak won the sixth round of the Audi quattro Cup qualifying series at the Royal Golf Club with a score of 33 Stableford points.

Naeem Ullah Khan clinched the runners-up spot with 31 points while Matthew Deakin was a close third with 30 points. Barry Hobday won the nearest the pin side contest on the 7th hole.

More than 60 competitors turned out for the tournament which was open to members and visitors with valid handicap certificates.

After six rounds, Arnaud Robert sits at the top of the series Order of Merit with 192 points. Close behind is Rob Lane, who has 191 points, and Steven Hill is in third place overall with 186 points. There are two more rounds remaining before the finals on April 15.

All players will have the opportunity to discard their lowest round score after round nine. The top two players on the order of merit will go on to represent Bahrain as one of the 60 teams competing in the world finals.

With more than 100,000 players competing in more than 800 tournaments in 54 countries annually, the Audi quattro Cup has developed into the biggest worldwide amateur golf tournament series.
