More than 55 players competed in the Royal Golf Club’s Valentine’s Scramble golf tournament at the weekend which was won by the duo of Abdulla Qutami and Khalifa Daij with a score of 64.5.
Husband and wife Rob and Debbie Lane narrowly clinched the runners-up spot with 65.5 on countback and Matthew Deakin and his wife Gabrielle came third with the same score.
It was a two-player scramble and the pairs didn’t have to be mixed. The tournament was rounded off with a fun Battle of the Sexes quiz in the club’s Members’ Lounge which saw the men get the better of the women’s team by just two points.
