Batelco’s three Drag 965 karting teams arelooking forward to the New Year with confidence after triple success on thecircuit in Sakhir.


Their rivals are still smarting after therecent Bahrain Endurance SWS Championship (BESWS) Round 2 staged at the BahrainInternational Karting Circuit (BIKC).


Three of the telecom giant’s teams -Batelco Drag 965, Batelco Drag 965 Mechanics and Ithmaar Batelco Racing -competed against a very competitive field, with the line-up of driversincluding Mohammed Mattar, Khalid Alsaei, Ali Basilar, Hussain Hasan, RashidMeamari and Khalid Al Wazzan, under the guidance of team manager MohammedSarhan.


The impressive drivers were victorious inall three categories with Batelco Drag 965 winning the Pro Class, Batelco Drag965 Mechanics winning the Nations Category and Ithmaar Batelco Racing takingthe first place on the podium in the Corporate Category.


The race was the second of a three-partseries. The third and final race will be a 24 Hours Endurance to be held onJanuary 27 and 28.
