NEW furniture and a new face in charge of food and beverage has helped transform the Dilmun Club as members return from their summer holidays.

The cooler weather has started to attract diners outside on to the new Bistro terrace by the pool and they’ll be sitting and eating in comfort with the introduction of stylish seating and tables.

Filipino Farrah Gamboa, 35, has been promoted from a supervisor’s role to F&B manager after impressing the expat club’s management and executive committee since she joined the team just over a year ago.

“I’m happy to take on the role and look forward to welcoming existing members and newcomers to experience our new dining promotions such as the Wednesday Steak Night.”

General manager Stephen Chartres said the club was delighted to have promoted someone internally to a senior position. “It shows we have strength in depth. Farrah has proven herself and deserves the chance to shine even more – she’s a familiar face and everyone loves Farrah at the club.”
