Jaguar has finally decided to pounce on the hugely popular SUV segment and this week the British marque unveiled its new F-PACE, the company’s first ever foray outside of luxury saloon and sports cars.
The new model was launched in the kingdom at Monday night’s glitzy ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain’s Al Noor Ballroom by dealers Euro Motors, and already motorists are queuing up to place orders.
The claws are now really out as this stylish newcomer aims to offer the agility, responsiveness and refinement that is synonymous with Jaguar’s performance range, with the usability and comfort of an SUV.
The influences of the F-TYPE are immediately obvious in its lightweight aluminium architecture and powerful lines. Further ‘borrowed’ elements include the curvy rear haunches, fender vents and distinctive tail light graphics.
Under the sculpted bonnet is a supercharged V6 petrol engine packing a monstrous 380BHP, which can hit 0-100kmph in 5.1 seconds. wwThe interior is a blend of premium materials and finishes, exquisite detailing, luxuries such as heated, electrically-reclining rear seats, and cutting-edge technologies including the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system and 12.3-inch HD virtual instrument cluster.
