Riffa Views International School (RVIS), a college preparatory international school, is pleased to announce that it earned immediate accreditation for the school’s high school from a leading international accreditation agency, the Council of International Schools (CIS).

The visiting accreditation team commended Riffa Views International School on the developments and the continuous improvements in the quality of education following an initial review visit in 2012. The accreditation agency commended the school following the review and awarded accreditation of the new high school programme with immediate effect.

The present academic year, RVIS will see the first-ever cohort of Grade 12 students graduate. The review concluded that there is every indication that the high school graduates will begin the next stage of their learning imbued with not just a good quality education, but with the traits and characteristics that will help them succeed as global citizens in the world beyond RVIS.

We are very pleased to earn this accreditation for our new programme. This is a major reflection of the high quality of work and commitment from the school’s board of trustees, staff and the parent community to work towards offering the highest level of international education for students of RVIS.

Dr. Kurt Nordness, Director of RVIS.

The next Manama Theatre Club (MTC) Junior Drama Workshop for children, aged seven to 14, will take place on Saturday between 3pm and 5.30pm.

Sign up your child at the British Club of Bahrain’s reception in Um Al Hassam. Anyone can join and it costs BD3 for members and BD5 for non-members.

April’s Junior Theatre Workshop was about characterisation. The children practiced using their faces and bodies to show different characters and we used silhouettes to tell fairytales.

This month we will be rehearsing for a longer performance in June. If your child can sign up for both the May and June workshops then we can cast them with a specific role in that performance. However, don’t worry, as both workshops will still be standalone if they can only make one of them.
