THIS week’s fashion spotlight was firmly set on the brand new Twenty4 location in Adliya which opened over the weekend with a red carpet welcome for fashionistas, VIPs and members of the media.
The grand opening marked the fourth location in the kingdom following successful expansions into UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman bringing the total number of outlets to 34.
Debarshi Biswas, head of marketing for Twenty4 at BMA International, said: “The sales have been fabulous this past year and it’s all down to our connection with the customers. The natural progression was to make more plans to expand.”
Thursday evening’s event kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, as GulfWeekly’s own Mai Al Khatib-Camille helped host the launch and ushered in the crowd for a spectacular show which included a parade highlighting the spring/summer 2016 collection.
Refreshments and appetising bites were served as the crowd surged to the front to grab a good view of the show. Models quickly took to catwalk through the shop aisles wearing the latest designs from the store’s women’s, men’s and children’s sections.
First the ladies came out wearing delicate crochet blouses with sultry flowing skirts in summer palettes perfect for any occasion. Maxi dresses in dusty rose and glittery gold shimmers were presented for evening wear and nautical navy, floral and white sheer looks for the daytime.
‘Oohs and ahhs’ came from the crowd as the child models came toddling out with miniature versions of the latest runway trends. The little ladies wore pink lace overlay skirts and denim with lacy ankle socks under cute strappy sandals with matching bows. The boys looked charming in blue button-downed shirts and bow ties.
Last but not least, the gentleman showcased what we want our men to wear this season with varying shades of denim blue plus a subtle sporty flare. Sharp, clean, cotton looks with lightweight materials were worn for the casual work-attire pieces.
Twenty4 concept head, Tarique Azmi, said: “For a young and trendy brand, we can offer really low prices. We want our customers to buy new fashion as often as they want without burning a hole in their pockets. So we look forward to welcoming many more satisfied customers to our new store and make our brand synonymous with value.”
The full SS16 and Ramadan collections are available now and in-stock at all Twenty4 locations.
