Nasser Yaqoob won May’s round of the 2016 Dadabhai Travel Order of Merit Series at the Royal Golf Club with an incredible six under par gross score of 66, almost equaling the course record of 65.
The win gives Yaqoob a massive eight point lead in the overall order of merit. Fellow national team member Hamad Mubarak was runner-up with a two under par 70. In the nett category of the competition, Bill Lindsay narrowly clinched first place with a score of 67 nett on count back while Yaqoob was runner up with the same score.
Hanne Hansen won the ladies gross division on count back with a score of 86 and Samantha Hill was runner-up with the same score. Hill’s nett score of 68 was enough to give her the win in the nett division while Dagfrid Berge came second on count back with a score of 72 nett.
The members-only Dadabhai Travel Order of Merit Series consists of 10 monthly competitions throughout 2016.
Each event will feature monthly winners as well as an overall series leader board, the winners of which will be awarded the top accolade of 2016 Dadabhai Travel Order of Merit Champion.
Dadabhai Travel will also reward the series winners with travel vouchers which can be redeemed at any of its offices.
