Mazda has stamped its authority on the kingdom’s motoring scene after unveiling its new showroom in Sitra.

The location, next to Bahrain Pride, is a much-needed shot in the arm for the Japanese company and certainly a stronger headquarters for the marque’s distributor, International Motor Trading Agency (IMTA), featuring a modern glass-fronted building and a gleaming, welcoming interior.

The new state-of-the-art facility is spread over 3,753.00sqm and has been built at a ‘substantial investment’ to ensure a refreshed setting.

Designed after extensive research and customer feedback, the new showroom offers new car sales, servicing, finance packages and leasing deals.

2018 marks IMTA’s 50 years of association with Mazda, which began in 1968, and president Suzan Salman Kanoo was extremely proud about the new showroom launch. He said: “It is a reflection of our commitment to placing customers at the forefront of innovative solutions and ensuring premium quality.

“We owe our success to our valued customers and our focus on maintaining excellent after-sales relationships with them.”

The Mazda brand has been experiencing positive growth in the GCC and views Bahrain as a very important market in the region. IMTA’s vice president K N Singh said: “The Mazda dream is to create an emotional connection with customers and become an essential part of their lives.

“It has worked to strengthen the feeling of connection between car and driver, creating human-cantered cars that operate in harmony with human sensibilities.

“Our staff is fully geared to receive the seventh generation of automobiles from Mazda, which will be rolling out in the coming months.”

One of the stars of the showroom is the critically-acclaimed Mazda CX-9, starting at BD10,800, described by motoring critics as a ‘rare example of a crossover that still blends a great deal of driving fun in with all the utility’.

In other news, IMTA is also building a massive car service centre in Isa Town; spread over 16,000sqm, details of which will be revealed soon.
