Ahmed Subaey enjoyed a comfortable win in the third competition of the Royal Golf Club’s Ramadan PowerPlay Series with a score of 22 points.
Rob Lane took the runners-up spot with 19 points and Dena Wales clinched third place with 18 points, pushing husband David into fourth place with 17 points.
George Lodge from the Royal Golf Club team was on hand after the competition to present prizes to the winners.
The PowerPlay Stableford competition, which was played on the floodlit back 9 holes of the Royal Golf Club’s Montgomerie championship course, gives competitors a choice on each hole between an easier ‘black & white’ flag option and a harder ‘green’ flag option at each green.
In an added twist, competitors are forced to play the ‘green’ flag on at least three of their nine holes and those successfully completing the harder option receive double points for the respective hole.
The final competition of the Ramadan PowerPlay Series took place on Monday.
