United Kaipara Dairies Co, popularly known as UNIKAI, one of the largest fast-moving consumer goods companies in the UAE, will be making its Bahrain debut following an agreement with distributors, the Behzad Group.
UNIKAI offers a wide range of dairy, ice cream, including a sugar-free option, and juice products and aims to lick the opposition and give shoppers a new treat.
Mana Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla, chairman of UNIKAI, said “We are happy to bring our four main categories of dairy, juice, ice-cream and foods to consumers in the kingdom through this partnership.
“Our expectations are high and we are confident that the resultant competition among different players and strong category offerings of UNIKAI will benefit consumers.”
Behzad Group has extensive warehousing and distribution capabilities, and boast more than four decades of import experience in the Bahrain market and says it is ‘fully geared’ to make UNIKAI products household names in Bahrain,
UNIKAI is particularly popular in the UAE and Oman and its imported vanilla-filled cup cakes are a huge favourite, alongside its own ice-cream, milk and laban products.
The company is now present in 29 countries across the region and has plans to expand further.
