Popular Indian designer Manish Arora, who is known for his eccentric dresses, tribal-style and bold prints, has unveiled his latest colourful and creative collection to fashion lovers across the kingdom.

The former creative director of the French fashion house Paco Rabanne’s women’s wear showcased his seaside paradise-inspired Resort 2017 line at Saks 5th Avenue in City Centre Bahrain.

During last weekend’s event, the fashion boutique embodied Manish’s holiday feel with a pink runway and lighting, a backdrop of flamingos flying across a crystal blue sky and instrumentals of the Don’t Worry, Be Happy song serenading members of the media, bloggers and invited guests.

As lights went up, leggy models appeared donning a range of contemporary looks that are easy-to-mix-and-match, as well as tothrow on for any occasion. There was nothing boring about Manish’s playfuldesigns. Winter may be right around the corner, but you could never forget the sunshine with his summery, under-the-sea vibe.

The silhouettes of some of the skirts and dresses swung towards the Fifties with loosened knotted waistlines and ribbedbands.

Tribal-designed denim jackets with surface embellishments such as hand-stitched dots, giant sweaters covered in sea horses and fish, plus golden shells and delicate elements, added to waistlines and necklines on different outfits. These were some of the highlights of the show.

One model shined in a shimmery rainbow stripped skirt while another smiled as she strutted down the runway in a pink V-neck maxi dress covered in colourful little sea horses and an ornamented waistline.

White and black long-sleeved jalabiya-styledresses were also dazzling and elegant with bold-coloured hemlines and bejewelled patterns and embroidery. Jewelled turbans also complimented some ofthe elegant dresses.

A kaleidoscope image of flamingos and their wings printed against white and aqua blue lines mimicking the birds flying through the sky were used on jackets, billowy striped A-line skirts and tops.

Geometric patterns, tropical be jeweled parrots and pretty paisley flowers were also highlighted in dresses and skirts.

Looks were completed with fun accessories such as a large pink blowfish purse, a guitar bag and big jewellery accessories.

Manish’s daring designs are what made him acelebrity and firm industry favourite. His spirited styles have been adorned by celebrities and singers such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

Splash out on skirts starting from BD116,with jackets and dresses from BD200.
