Victoria's Secret angels weren’t the only ones shining at the recent fashion show in Paris as the Swiss and Emirati jewellery marquee Mouawad modeled by the femme fatales dazzled guests.

The 126-year-old brand has been showcasing its luxury line of gems and diamond designs with the popular lingerie label at its glamorous shows for the past 16 years. Models including Stella Maxwell, Lily Aldridge and Izabel Goulart sparkled in the brand’s show-stopping Masterpiece Collection, befitting of the City of Lights.

Pascal Mouawad, coguardian of the Mouawad brand, said: “Each jewel from the collection was as gorgeous and awe-inspiring as the Angels wearing it. “The jewels which shined on this year’s glamorous runway were specifically selected to complement the intricate designs of the lingerie worn by each model. We are so proud to be once again showing at the fashion show and have selected more than $12 million worth of our most spectacular pieces for this year’s theme.”

Mouawad has been behind the inspired collaborations with Victoria’s Secret since 2001, when Heidi Klum wore the first Fantasy Bra named as Heavenly Star. Last year, Lily captivated a celebrity crowd wearing the 2015 Fireworks Fantasy Bra worth $2 million designed.

The jeweller said it took more than 685 hours to create the stunning bra and it has more than 6,000 precious gems including diamonds and swirling strings of blue topaz, yellow sapphire and pink quartz.

On top of it all, the gems are all set in 18karat gold. Mouawad’s exceptional jewellery also made it into the Guinness World Records four times since 1990, the latest of which being for the Mouawad L’Incomparable Diamond Necklace considered the most valuable necklace in the world priced at $55 million.

It features a flawless 407.48-carat yellow diamond suspended gracefully from a strikingly white diamond necklace intertwined by 18-karat rose gold branchlets. This label also sells
jewellery collections, objects of art and luxury watches.

The firm has headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, with a Middle East headquarters at Jumeirah Lakes Towers in Dubai. It was founded in 1891 in Beirut, Lebanon by David Mouawad and is now led by fourth generation coguardians Fred Mouawad, Alain Mouawad and Pascal.

The firm’s jewellery and watch design and manufacturing divisions are located in Switzerland and Asia Pacific.
