Great to see that Piece of Cake has returned to the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay and to read last week’s cover story. I love Sandra’s voice and Alex’s guitar playing offers a Friday Brunch experience where you can enjoy good conversation and fine food, as well as superb sounds. With reference to your report on the technology page of last week’s issue about machines taking all our jobs. It begs the question, who is going to be able to afford these new machines if most of us are unemployed? Steve, Juffair.

I’m getting very excited about the coming F1 season what with all the changes both on and-off the track. I hope your report last week in Motor Sport about McLaren moving up the order comes true. As a Bahraini ‘petrol-head’ and considering the team as ‘one of our own’ it’s been a miserable few years especially as I’ve had to suffer the taunts from fans of rival teams. Enough of the ‘bull’, I’m fed up of seeing ‘red’ and witnessing ‘silver arrows’ piercing my heart. Come on McLaren! Sal, Riffa Views.
