The Rotary Club of Manama is hosting its annual ‘Kick for a Cause’ football tournament on February 17 at the Bahrain Rugby Football Club. The event will start at 3pm.

 

BSPCA will be staging its St Valentine’s Dog Walk on February 17 at the BSPCA Animal Welfare Centre in Askar.

Phil Chambers, the reigning World Mind Mapping Champion, will be visiting Bahrain to explain to school children how the concept can help bring examination success.

The six times Mind Sports Olympiad Medalist and International Grandmaster of Mind Mapping will be staging sessions at the Downtown Rotana Hotel next month aimed at students in Years 10 to 13.  His open morning and afternoon Mind Mapping for Exam Success sessions will take place on February 16 and will offer examples of specific school subjects, memory techniques for study and also involve fun interactive exercises. Multi-platinum recording artist Bryan Adams is set to rock Bahrain on March 13 at the Bahrain International Circuit as part of his ‘The Get Up Tour’. The Middle East leg of the tour consists of shows in Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Tickets are priced at BD30 for General Admission and BD50 for the Fan Pit that gets you up close to the stage. Bryan Adams released his thirteenth studio album, Get Up in October 2015. Produced by famed ELO front man Jeff Lynne and co-written with his long-time collaborator Jim Vallance, the album features nine new songs and four acoustic versions.


Feed the Need, a local charity in collaboration with Argan Village is staging an Indie Music and Art Charity Festival on Friday. Local bands Majaz, The Relocators and Hani Malik will be performing. The event will take place at Argan Village in Bu Quwah at 4pm. Donations in the form of food, clothing and usable items would be appreciated by the organisers. There will be art, food, fun family activities, live music and a ‘beautiful atmosphere’.
