Springis known as the season of change and growth where people clean out their homes and wardrobes of clutter and make room for something fresh, shiny and new.
With that idea in mind, City Centre Bahrain aims to fill inthe gaps by giving shoppers a chance to win this season’s most desirable wardrobe worth BD5,000 by entering its latest shop-and-win campaign.
For every BD30 spent in one day, a shopper is eligible for one electronic coupon which will be sent to their phone and act as a raffle entry. The draw, which will have one luckycustomer feeling vibrant and alive in his or her new BD5,000 wardrobe, will take place on April 2.
To give Fashionistas a tasteof the season’s cool combinations and suggestions on what they will want to snap up when they win that golden ticket to fashionglory, mall managers invited GWeeklyto roam the many outlets in search of the latest lines.
Spring was most certainly in the air as several store windows displayed colourfulfloral designs, light fabrics and structured styles marking the hottest trends of the 2017 Spring / Summer.
Carolina Herrera’s Spring Summercollection, for example, perpetuates elegant ease with strapless gowns, polished separates and breezy dresses.
A friendly saleslady by the name of Ivy Rose helped me perfect the signature bows on a geisha-style gown and wrapped me in a vibrant orange evening dress, resembling actress Angelina Jolie’s famous look.
Although I could have twirled around forever in the contemporary collection, the structured geometric-printed cocktail dress particularly won me over. I loved the texture of the fabric, the monochrome design and the length of the dress made me feel quite lady-like. I matched the BD343 dress with classic stiletto shoes priced BD191.
My next stop was Ralph Lauren. The store boasted an outdoor, country feel and its changing rooms resembled a warm andcosyliving room at home.
A salesman helped my photographer anddesigner for the day Sam Camille, turn the outlet into a fashion shoot arena as I strutted out the dressing room in one jaw-dropping design after the other.
He removed a mannequin off of a wooden table for me to pose on. So real-like, I scared one customer when I moved and said ‘hello’ that she screamed in surprise. Apologises, madam!
As for the outfits, I loved the blue sapphire gown with the peek-a-boo cut out and floor-length orange wrap-around, but the summery multi-floral magnolia was the ultimate pick and perfect for the season. I teamed up the BD126 dress withbrown EtainCuoiowedge sandals at BD126. I added a BD55 pink pima cotton Kimberly sweater over my shoulders to keep me warm during those breezy nights.
I had a spring in my step when I entered Tory Burch and rummaged through its racks for a cheery gardenparty dress priced BD330.
The comfy summer number can be tightened or loosened from the ties around the shoulder and boasted the brand’s classic pale pink and Kelly green pattern.
The storestylists paired the dress with a matching BD248 bag and white sneakers with a green frilly trim at BD127. I loved the shoes.
This season for Tory Burch is all about creating cheerful and wearable classic American looks. The designer paid an ode to what she calls 1960s ‘hostess chic and cool prep’ by reinterpreting smoking jackets and adding flouncy beaded prairie skirts to the line as well as nautical sweaters, batik-printed twill and gumball-size pearls.
After finishing my fashion fun at Tory Burch I made my way to the nearest Receipts Redemption Kiosk to claim my coupon. Shoppers can also visit a Customer Service Desk.
For those that don’t want to wait until April to win can pick up prizes instantly by spending BD50 or more at fashion outlets only.
