I am contacting you in regards to Women’s Crisis Care International’s (WCCI) upcoming advocate training.

WCCI will be training new women to become crisis advocates and assist with providing support on our 24-hour crisis hotline. The training will take place over two weekends - Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm and January 19 and 20 also from 9am to 5pm, although the last session may finish earlier.

The training will take place at the Bahrain Financial Harbour and although it is free for those who wish to become volunteers with WCCI, there is a fee for those wishing only to be certified.

We are still accepting applicants but only those pre-registered can attend.

For more details visit events@womenscci.org  and to register go to tinyurl.com/WCCIAdvocacy or call 38474018.

Kathryn, WCCI.

The Tender Board would like to express its sincere thanks and appreciation for the great commitment and professionalism you and your news team have demonstrated in covering Bahrain’s latest happenings and keeping the community informed.

In line with its strategic long-term goals to improve the quality of services provided for its partners, Tender Board recently launched its new website featuring advanced technology to deliver customers a unique digital experience. The website has been designed and developed to the highest international standards to become the only official platform.

The new website, available in both Arabic and English, has a unique and innovative design and offers a new level of efficiency and transparency in a way that makes access to the services the Board offers easier and clearer than ever before. The new digital platform, www.tenderboard.gov.bh is now the only official source of information related to the Tender Board, and the only official platform to announce new tenders.

Website visitors can now electronically search for tenders according to their various categories and classifications, and can also go through the lists of approved pre-qualified suppliers and contractors in different sectors. Moreover, the website now provides a brief description of tenders and the required scope of work to enable vendors to participate in tenders they are interested in and only purchase needed documents. In addition, the latest news, insights and updates from the Tender Board will also be provided in real-time.

Hayam Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Tender Board.
