Café Coco has opened its first outlet in The Avenues – Bahrain and only the third in existence, writes Stan Szecowka. The concept has been developed by international retail franchise operator, M.H. Alshaya which opened its first outlet at the Grand Avenue in The Avenues, Kuwait, followed by a second at the Doha Festival City in Qatar.
It’s a café, restaurant and patisserie all rolled into one, promising ‘world-class innovative artisan cuisine and outstanding service’. “The stunning interior, combined with Parisian-style terrace seating, provide the perfect setting to enjoy a secluded meal or watch the world go by,” said Kieran Terry, business manager Café Coco after the ribbon-cutting ceremony staged with Nigel Doughty, vice-president, food retail, M.H. Alshaya.
A large team of international chefs create their own freshly-made dishes such as Poached Eggs with Labneh and Kale, which combines a traditional breakfast item with a Middle Eastern twist and a trendy ‘super-food’.
Other breakfast favourites on the menu include Italian-style Eggs Benedict and Labneh and Olive Croissant. A choice of salads, BBQ Beef Sliders, risottos and pasta dishes are also available.
Desserts, including macaroons and oven-baked chocolate chip cookies, are offered alongside a range of warm coffee choices and special seasonal offerings.
