Summer time vibes echoed throughout Ramli Mall as models, dressed up in the latest looks, shined on the runway in casual floral and geometric designs for everyday use and sleek suits for formal affairs.
The Shades of Summer 2018 Fashion Show highlighted a range of seasonal and affordable attire that can be snapped up from one of the kingdom’s favourite retail giants, Lulu Hypermarket.
Large red flowers made out of tissue paper hung above a brightly lit catwalk on the ground floor and curtains closed off the stylish event for families, friends and fashion conscious shoppers to admire the models of all ages showcasing the different trends last week.
Although the annual show was attended by invited guests, including the kingdom’s bloggers and members of the media, shoppers were still able to admire the attire from the mall’s different levels.
As upbeat music played on, men and women decked out in day wear sashayed up and down the catwalk with a spring in their step and a swing of their hair.
Women looked feminine and fun in high ponytails, palazzo trousers, skinny-legged trousers and pretty summer dresses. Floral and tribal prints were quite popular in this collection and were accesorised by high heels, clutches and handbags.
Men either layered up with long sleeved shirts and flannels that were left open to reveal solid tees or wore light and airy shirts over shorts and trousers. Hats, trainers, bags and loafers completed the brightly-hued looks.
Children were adorable in printed tees, denim shorts and floral dresses. Little girls wore denim and dresses with lacey trims while boys wore cargo shorts and jeans. Girls looked beautiful with their flowery headbands, brooches and jewellery while boys took on a cool persona with their hats, watches and sneakers.
The formal fashion followed with men and women suited and booted for the workplace. Ladies looked lovely and sophisticated pairing blazers with dresses, skinny trousers and flouncy shirts. Men appeared professional and ready to take on any board meeting wearing the perfect tie for that important presentation.
At the end of the event, the models gathered on the stage to launch the hypermarket’s latest fashion look book alongside Lulu management and guests. The store also has a large range of ethnic and Arabic attire.
