With regards to Kristian ‘The Voice of Sport’ Harrison’s recent FIFA World Cup comments. He would have gained a lot of appreciation if he had written an article on how David Baddiel’s awful song was actually the curse behind the painful losses the England football team has suffered over the years. The sooner it’s banned the faster you’ll win the World Cup again.

Happy French man, David.

Bahrain Tennis Association’s (BTA) summer camp will continue until August 31. Parents who are interested in enrolling their children are urged to call 37733117.

The summer camp is taking place on weekdays from 8am until noon at Isa Town Intermediate School for Boys.

Available for children of five and above, for BD25 per entry, the camp will feature tennis basic skills training, competitions and other entertaining activities.

During the camp, scouts will be present and skilled players will be handpicked to represent Bahrain’s international tennis teams as part of BTA’s efforts to discover new talent in the sport.

BTA, by email.

I was interested to read your article in last week’s MotoringWeekly on how to prevent hi-tech thieves from stealing your hire car on holiday with a piece of tin foil.

Most ingenious, amazing how new technology can be hampered by everyday objects. It’s hard to believe keyless entry cars could be targetted so easily with a combination of transmitters and amplifiers.

I spotted a useful photograph on my friend’s social media page on how to thwart these young gangs of techie geniuses. I think I might borrow this idea when I return back to the US for the summer next week!

I enjoy reading Youth Talk and welcome your new columnist Sarah Behal on board.

I’m studying during the summer holiday as my courses require a lot of reading and, at the same time, I’ve secured intern work to gain some useful office experience thanks to a friend of my father’s.

I was hoping to catch up on my homework during the lunch break and although the manager approves of my course of study, the office’s policies do not allow eating lunch at the desk, because of the possibility of getting food in the computer keyboards.

It’s too hot to eat outside, too costly to go to a café every lunchtime and impossible to get a driver to take me all the way to Saar and back in an hour from busy Manama.

It’s tough being a teen.
