Behbehani Brothers have been appointed sole authorised distributors in the kingdom of mighty American marques Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram.

The company, which boasts more than six decades of automotive experience, has built a strong reputation, becoming one of Bahrain’s leading dealerships.

“The company now also has the distinction of being the only authorised service provider for the brands in Bahrain, offering customers world-class Mopar service, genuine spare parts and accessories - existing customers driving  Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles can rest assured that they will receive high-quality service and that their warranties will be honoured at Behbehani Brothers,” a spokesman said.

The company consolidated its position in the Bahraini market by becoming the sole authorised distributor this month.

Behbehani Brothers has ‘invested heavily in infrastructure’ at its modern facility in Sitra to meet the increasing demands of customers as vehicle sales have grown.

The showroom has a workshop attached to it which is fully equipped with all of the specialist tools and technology needed to service today’s sophisticated vehicles and it is staffed by a team of technicians trained to exacting factory standards. The company spokesman added: “Fully aware that customer excellence is not just about facilities, Behbehani Brothers also makes significant investments in quality people, employing a highly-skilled and motivated team who work together to deliver a one-stop quality experience when it comes to meeting the motoring needs of its customers.”

The Mopar service network in Bahrain is continually being expanded and enhanced too. A key part of this programme is the Mopar ExpressLane quick service centre which guarantees that even the smallest jobs (from lube, oil and filter changing, brake pad and disc inspection, tyre rotation, multi point inspection, windshield wiper blade replacement and filter replacement to all kinds of fluids, batteries, bulbs and spark plugs) are completed quickly and in line with factory guidelines.

The Sitra facility also includes a large parts warehouse, a state-of-the-art vehicle refinishing centre and a high-tech training academy which is accredited by the UK’s Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).

The team at Behebhani Brothers also know how to put on a show. In May, the new Jeep Compass was launched at a glamorous garden party ceremony and dinner at The Orangery, located within the Palace Boutique Hotel in Manama.

The event, with refreshments, fine cuisine and soulful music, was attended by senior company executives, Italian ambassador Domenico Bellato, members of the media and other invited guests.

The vehicles were lowered on to the lawn by giant cranes for the official launch which happened just days after GulfWeekly took one of the models for an exclusive early-access test drive.

“It rides excellently both on and off the road, with responsive steering and brake inputs, and has enough chassis stiffness and suspension control to handle curves and off-roading,” motoring correspondent Kristian Harrison reported.

The Compass was powered by a 2.4-litre Tigershark petrol engine with MultiAir2 technology, which delivers 173 horsepower at 6,400rpm and 237Nm torque paired to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. The price proved attractive too. Available in three variants, the Longitude had a starting price of BD7,695, the Trailhawk from BD9,995 and the Limited, starting at BD10,500.

All Jeep models come with a comprehensive five-year/100,000 km manufacturer warranty.
