DINERS enjoying the flavours from the specially-crafted menu created by two-Michelin starred Chef Giancarlo Xbe (pronounced Perbe) Perbellini will be treated to a tender touch of an Italian tenor and bright baritone to help whet their appetites.
The Gulf Hotel Bahrain Convention Centre & Spa’s La Pergola was recently rebranded as La Pergola by Perbellini following extensive refurbishment to the tune of more than BD200,000.
The venue will be presenting Una Settimana A Venezia (A week in Venice) featuring celebrated Italian singers Giovanni Iannone and Gianluca Avallone.
“We are bringing together the flavours and flair of Venice,” Charbel Hanna, the complex’s executive assistant manager, said. “There can be nothing more delightful than the very best in Italian cuisine accompanied by the voices of our visiting singers flown in from Italy especially for this celebration.”
As revealed in GulfWeekly, the new design was inspired by Chef Perve’s Italian outlet Al Capitan. The stunning refurbishment features beautiful sea-blue walls with matching covered comfortable seats which have been cleverly combined with golden panels that conjure a vision of bubbles rising from a sea bed.
One of the kingdom’s oldest Italian restaurants has been transformed into a vibrant, airy, cool, comfortable and contemporary dining destination and Chef Perve, who visited recently to update the offerings available, was delighted with the reaction from diners.
The Italian singers will add to the ambience from Friday until December 7. Booking in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment.
