The Jeep, Mopar and Ram brands are showcasing a variety of new models – including the Ram Heavy Duty, the Jeep Gladiator, and a Mopar-modified Jeep Gladiator Rubicon – at the 2019 North American International Auto Show which runs until Sunday.
Making its debut at the show, the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty is the most powerful, most capable pickup in the segment with a towing capacity of 35,100 lbs. (15,921kg) and a payload capacity of 7,680 lbs. (3,483kg).
The new Ram Heavy Duty impresses when it comes to ride and handling, luxury, materials, innovation, and technology, extending well past any competitive offerings, its designers say. “Giving maximum effort all day, every day with confidence, the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty line of pickups steps forward with the full force of modern capability,” a Ram spokesman said.
The new Jeep Gladiator takes the spotlight on the Jeep stand – marking the return of the brand to the pickup truck segment.
The ‘most capable’ mid-size truck ever, the all-new Gladiator builds on a rich heritage of tough, dependable Jeep trucks with an unmatched combination of rugged utility, authentic Jeep design, open-air freedom, clever functionality and versatility, best-in-class towing and 4x4 payload, advanced fuel-efficient powertrains, superior on- and off-road dynamics and a host of innovative safety and advanced technology features.
A Mopar-modified Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, displayed in the Mopar area, highlights the open-air personalisation potential of the most capable mid-size truck ever.
Exterior Mopar modifications on the display vehicle include a Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) 2-inch (5cm) lift kit, JPP tube doors and rock rails and JPP 5-inch (12.7cm) and 7-inch (17.8cm) off-road LED lights. A mesh sun bonnet works with the tube doors to deliver an open-air feel unlike any other offered by a production mid-size truck.
The JPP logo is added to the rear of both bed sides. Additional Mopar accessories include unique five-spoke wheels, a hood decal, a blacked out Mopar grille and windshield tied-down straps.
