Spring of Culture is back for its 15th season, with a diverse line-up of initiatives and collaborations that cater to various tastes, interests and age groups, under the slogan of Dilmun: Land of Density. Here are some of our favourites!
The Dive in the Jurassic will continue its display until March 16 bringing an interactive exhibition with touchable artefacts and immersive CGI that will submerge visitors into the ancient sea.
Bahrain National Museum
Every Thursday at 5pm, stop by the heart of Manama for a spectrum of music, arts and cultural events, with a different realm of heritage highlighted every week. This Thursday, the “A Nation’s Love: Woven Threads” artistic workshop will teach youth about tools and methods to weave wool as they create the Bahrain flag.
Bab Al Bahrain
Every Thursday at 8pm, set sail with the Mohammed bin Faris Band in a lyrical voyage through the tales of a pearling diver’s life from festivities to farewells.
Mohammed bin Faris Music Hall
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 6pm, take an interactive and moving audio-visual journey through the past to the present Bahrain and then back again.
Qal’at Al Bahrain Site Museum
From Saturday until March 26, check out Hala Al Khalifa’s latest collection of chair and sofa-centric series of paintings on canvas, an exploration of feelings of belonging, emptiness and loss.
Memory of the Place: Bin Matar House
A solo exhibition of Bahraini artist Mohammed Al Mahdi honouring the work and teachings of Fernando Botero opens on Tuesday at 7pm.
